• The integration of the IoT network and LoRaWAN® technology has significantly improved city services in Kaunas. The technology has enabled remote sensing and analysis of various parameters of heat, hot water, and thermal networks, simplifying the integration of smart city applications and optimizing the use of IoT solutions. The deployment of the TEKTELIC KONA Macro IoT Gateway has allowed for large area coverage with the LoRaWAN® network at a low cost and low power consumption. This has facilitated the creation of smart cities and met Kauno energija’s deployment requirements. The company is now planning to extend the smart city technology to other municipal utilities of Kaunas City, which will further improve city services.
