About The Customer
The primary target customers for SIP Money are individuals who live paycheck to paycheck and struggle to manage their finances effectively. These individuals often find it difficult to save a portion of their salary and lack the knowledge or resources to invest in their future. SIP Money aims to provide these individuals with a tool that can help them understand their income and expenses, create saving goals, and strategically allocate their budget. The app is designed to be user-friendly and accessible, making it easy for individuals with little to no financial knowledge to start saving and investing.
The Challenge
SIP Money was founded with the aim of helping people, particularly those living paycheck to paycheck, to better manage and invest their money. The challenge was to create a tool that could provide users with a clear understanding of their income and expenses, and offer strategic budgeting advice. The goal was to enable users to save a portion of their salary, no matter how small, and start investing in their future. However, the development of such a tool posed a significant challenge, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had halted the main business and sales efforts of Anachron Technologies, the parent company of SIP Money.
The Solution
The solution came in the form of Bubble, a no-code platform that allowed SIP Money founder, Wael Khattar, to build the app without relying on his main company’s development resources. Users of the app sign up and provide information about their recurring monthly payments and other sources of income. The app then takes this income into account and recommends a budget. By creating saving goals and strategically allocating their budget, users can learn how to better manage their expenses and make necessary lifestyle changes. Future plans for the app include the addition of features that allow users to connect their bank account through the Plaid plugin, and the provision of discounts and rewards for users who stick to their budget. The app also plans to offer investment advice through a robo-advisor.
Operational Impact
  • The use of the no-code platform, Bubble, has allowed SIP Money to be developed without the need for extensive development resources. This has resulted in significant cost savings and has enabled the app to be built and launched in a shorter timeframe. The app has also been able to gather valuable feedback from its initial users, which is being used to make adjustments and improvements. The use of Bubble has also opened up the possibility of building the entire solution on the no-code platform, which could lead to further cost savings and efficiencies in the future.
Quantitative Benefit
  • The app is still in the early testing stage, with a limited reach.
  • The initial release of the app has garnered feedback and insights from 100 users.
  • Before going global, the goal is to have at least 100 users who love the product.
