About The Customer
Grupo Multimedios is a leading media and entertainment company in Mexico. The company has been in operation for over 70 years and is one of the most important media groups in the country. Its assets include 37 AM and FM radio stations, nine broadcast TV stations, three television networks, a 150,000-subscriber triple-play cable MSO offering television, broadband and telephony, 12 local, regional and national newspapers, two national magazines, outdoor advertising, music concert venues, and amusement parks.
The Challenge
Grupo Multimedios, one of Mexico's largest media and entertainment companies, was facing challenges in creating effective executive performance management dashboards. The company had been using spreadsheets, pivot tables, and other BI tools for several years, but the dashboards they created were visually cluttered with lots of numbers. This made it difficult for the end-users to effectively understand and manipulate the data. The company was in need of a new BI tool that would be both easier to use and visually appealing. The goal was to provide a graphical representation of the key data to top management in a way that was easy to understand and manipulate.
The Solution
Multimedios selected InetSoft’s Style Scope to create sophisticated enterprise data visualizations that summarize sales and operations data for top executives. One of the advantages of this tool was that it could be used from the very beginning without major changes in the extracted data. Style Scope provided the ability to move from static tables of numbers to charts and graphics that were much easier to understand. The tool also allowed for the creation of consolidated sales figures very quickly and easily. Furthermore, it enabled end-users to build their own reports without IT intervention. The tool's visual analysis and self-service end-user capabilities were a perfect blend for organizations like Multimedios that sought to improve the speed and ease at which they could make smart decisions based on the data at hand.

Predictive Maintenance for Industrial Chillers
For global leaders in the industrial chiller manufacturing, reliability of the entire production process is of the utmost importance. Chillers are refrigeration systems that produce ice water to provide cooling for a process or industrial application. One of those leaders sought a way to respond to asset performance issues, even before they occur. The intelligence to guarantee maximum reliability of cooling devices is embedded (pre-alarming). A pre-alarming phase means that the cooling device still works, but symptoms may appear, telling manufacturers that a failure is likely to occur in the near future. Chillers who are not internet connected at that moment, provide little insight in this pre-alarming phase.
