IFFCO improves IT performance by 7x with Oracle Cloud - Oracle Industrial IoT Case Study
IFFCO improves IT performance by 7x with Oracle Cloud
IFFCO’s cloud adoption is driven by a need to innovate. With cloud infrastructure, the organization wanted capabilities for a dynamic business that can adapt to the changing needs of the market while growing fast. IFFCO wanted to shorten innovation cycles, but it was inhibited by rigid on-premises data center deployments. In addition, IT teams were burdened by the overhead of maintaining legacy systems. IFFCO wanted to apply the elasticity and availability of the cloud for improving the overall performance of applications at the lowest possible operational overhead.Several technology systems and platforms in India’s agriculture ecosystem, including IFFCO’s, have become dependent and integrated with each other. The COVID-19 pandemic further added the ambiguity to scale IT operations, but IFFCO’S IT team quickly realized that they could turn this challenge into an opportunity by using the potential of cloud computing to its maximum.Lastly, IFFCO needed to provide the benefits of its technology to all its stakeholders, including employees, members, transporters, and farmers, some of whom have limited literacy. To accommodate all stakeholders, IFFCO wanted to add a voice interface to its applications.

Oracle University reduces administration costs by 30% with Autonomous Database - Oracle Industrial IoT Case Study
Oracle University reduces administration costs by 30% with Autonomous Database
Oracle Guided Learning is integrated with Oracle Cloud Applications, providing up-to-date guidance and knowledge in the user’s workflow.Oracle MyLearn offers subscription-based, personalized training on a range of Oracle solutions, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud Applications, and database and industry solutions.Oracle Guided Learning incorporated technology that was acquired by Oracle in 2018 and migrated from AWS. The underlying database used on AWS was PostgreSQL, which is available on OCI. However, as part of the migration, the development team also wanted to address some PostgreSQL shortcomings. In particular, performance optimization was poor, while building an HA setup required substantial expertise. The required additional compute resources forced downtime while users had to manage the underlying block storage that PostgreSQL used. The resulting administrative overhead and required expertise were simply too high.

Wavenet Technology Runs One Million-plus Queries in Seconds - Oracle Industrial IoT Case Study
Wavenet Technology Runs One Million-plus Queries in Seconds
Digital marketing company Wavenet Technology helps global brands across the Asia and Pacific region optimize online marketing campaigns. It uses artificial intelligence and big data analytics to enable customers to track and fine-tune marketing activities 24 hours a day in real-time.As part of the Wavenet Technology service, customers access a web dashboard to consult the latest figures on their campaigns’ performance. As the number of simultaneous dashboard queries went beyond one million, the time to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data for the reports became increasingly time-consuming. Eventually, the amount of processing exceeded the capacity of Wavenet Technology’s systems, which were running on AWS Redshift.  Customers had to wait several minutes for the systems to respond.Because the situation began to hamper Wavenet Technology’s business development plans, the company began looking for a high-performance, secure, and affordable database that would provide the speed, power, and confidence to achieve its growth targets.

Transition Technologies halves deployment time with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
“LUXtrade was developed completely in-house. We’ve been implementing it on-premises in Europe for almost 20 years. Several years ago, we also started delivering it as software-as-a-service,” says Service Department Director Grzegorz Mazurek. Challenging times for the energy sector required an efficient solution with RES management, algo-trading, forecasting, and data analytics. The company was working to meet all these targets but believed it could achieve its goals only with Oracle technology. However, when a customer asked to use  LUXtrade in the cloud, Transition Technologies had to scramble to deploy a cloud solution in just six months.
