TCP-X-Unit
TCP-X-Unit
Older hardware and modern software often do not speak the same language, which makes it impossible for legacy field devices connected via serial links to communicate directly with the OpenTAS terminal management system. This usually requires an additional computer that converts the loading hardware’s legacy signals for the OpenTAS software. The TCP-X-Unit is a new, compact solution from Implico whichconsiderably simplifies the previously required hardware environment. At the same time it represents a major step toward the Internet of Things (IoT).The new TCP-X-Unit converts the field device’s RS-232 signal into a TCP/IP signal and transmits it to the OpenTAS automationprocesses via Ethernet protocol. The new complete solution is a suite comprising the powerful Matrix-504 microcomputer and suitable software developed by Implico especially for OpenTAS connectivity. Except for this pocket-sized computer, no further hardware is required for the connection.
Handheld
Handheld
For loading and unloading via railcar, ship or pipeline, many work steps have to be carried out manually. Out in the field, operators don’t have access to a computer and typically work “offline”. This makes it difficult to keep track of the process steps that have been completed or the valves that have been opened, for example. Our new handheld applications connect tank terminal operators directly to the terminal management system. Operations staff can enter information directly into the system while also having access to the most recent information at any time. This makes your loading and unloading processes easier, faster and much safer.

OpenTAS TMS
OpenTAS TMS
OpenTAS TMS is a powerful Terminal Management System that optimizes and automates all logistic and administrative processes in terminals and refineries. It equips tank terminal operators with all the tools needed to manage their plant in an efficient, transparent and safe manner.OpenTAS TMS enables tank farm operators to automate loading and unloading activities for all modes of transport (truck, railcar, ship, pipeline), including access control, load planning, loading and printing delivery notes. This makes it possible to operate tank farms cost-efficiently around the clock.
OpenTAS QCM
OpenTAS QCM
When petroleum products are traded, volumes have to be converted into weight, and vice versa. It is vital for this calculation to be performed correctly because even the smallest inaccuracy will affect key processes in the supply chain of oil and gas companies – from the safety of the loading and warehousing operations through to the computation of tax liability.OpenTAS QCM (Quantity Conversion Module) offers a proven, precise and extremely flexible set of functions for quantity conversion: One single system for accounting, terminal management, and administration. The tool can be deployed as a stand-alone system accessed over RFC (Remote Function Call) as well as in any Terminal Administration System like OpenTAS. Beyond that it works as an integral part of ERP/SAP systems and industry solutions such as SAP IS Oil and SAP SDM (Secondary Distribution Management for Oil & Gas). This standardized solution is highly cost-effective in terms of both procurement and maintenance.
OpenTAS NET
OpenTAS NET
The calculation of net production in a refinery is a complex task and can take many hours with SAP or other ERP systems. In order to protect the users from performance problems as much as possible, this work normally takes place at night. OpenTAS NET can however carry out the task in record time: the software analyzes the bookings and automatically calculates the differences in less than one minute. OpenTAS then immediately makes the results available to the SAP solution which can process them further. With OpenTAS NET, managers always have an overview of the net production in their refinery.
