Onebridge, formerly known as SmartIT Staffing, is a technology IT staffing and consulting firm based in Indianapolis, IN. The company made the Cincinnati Business Courier’s list of the region's fastest-growing private companies in 2013 and 2014. In 2017, SmartIT rebranded itself as Onebridge to embrace its expansion to include IT consulting as well as staffing. As a result of the rebrand and their expansion into consulting, Onebridge expected to grow quickly, and they realized they needed to employ a new set of business systems throughout the organization to support that growth.
The Challenge
Onebridge, a technology IT staffing and consulting firm, was facing challenges in integrating its various business applications. Following a rebranding and expansion into consulting in 2017, the company implemented new enterprise resources planning (ERP) and professional services automation (PSA) applications. They expected these systems to seamlessly share information with their marketing, human resources management (HRM), and applicant tracking system (ATS). However, this did not happen as planned. The team found themselves manually exporting and importing data between the applications, which was time-consuming and offered little value. The ad-hoc data transfers also made it difficult to gain real-time insights into data across applications. The company's new systems administrator, Larecha Wynn, discovered that custom-built APIs and point-to-point integrations were being used to connect the applications with their ERP, NetSuite, leading to sub-par data sharing.
The Solution
To address these challenges, Larecha began searching for an integration solution. She needed a platform that would not only connect NetSuite and HubSpot, but also provide an integration solution for other applications that Onebridge planned to add in the future. She was looking for a clean, modern, easy-to-use user interface, a solution that could be managed by non-technical department heads with minimal training and IT support, and a vendor with deep understanding of, and experience with, ERP cloud integrations. After considering several options, Larecha chose Celigo as the integration platform for Onebridge. Celigo provided Onebridge with the ability to seamlessly integrate the cloud-based applications they use now, and also allowed Larecha to easily integrate additional cloud-based applications as departments require them in the future. With Celigo, Larecha found an integration platform with an intuitive, user-friendly UI, enabling her to hand off management of the integration to non-technical departments.
Operational Impact
  • With the implementation of Celigo, Onebridge was able to automate key business processes by having all major business applications share data seamlessly with NetSuite. The integration platform's intuitive, user-friendly UI allowed non-technical departments to monitor and manage their own integrations, with little or no input from IT. This not only streamlined operations but also freed up IT resources. Looking forward, Larecha can rely on technical support from ERP integrations experts if she has questions, further enhancing the operational efficiency of Onebridge.
