• The implementation of the CEM AC2000 SE system has resulted in a highly secure and fully integrated security management solution for the Dublin Port Tunnel. The system provides a single software solution and a central means of monitoring the entire tunnel site, ensuring a safe facility and environment for tunnel users. The system's distributed intelligence and resilience ensure that tunnel operators maintain full jurisdiction of the tunnel at all times, even in the event of host communications being temporarily lost. This feature also offers a second layer of monitoring and control, acting as a failsafe in the event of temporary disruption or maintenance to the main SCADA system. The successful implementation of this comprehensive security solution has made the Dublin Port Tunnel fully operational and open to traffic.

• The system provides 24/7 monitoring and control of the entire tunnel site.
• The system controls access in and out of the tunnel’s “Plaza Toll Area” and vehicle gates with loop detectors for traffic monitoring.
• The system transfers alarms to the central SCADA system when abnormal events or situations are detected.
