Underground Mining Safety
The goal was to produce a safety system to monitor and support underground mining operations; existing systems were either too simple (i.e. phone line) or overly complex and expensive, inhibiting deployment, and providing little-to-no support in event of an accident. Given the dangerous nature of the mining work environment and the strict regulations placed on the industry, the solution would have to comply with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations. Yet the product needed to allow for simple deployment to truly be a groundbreaking solution - increasing miner safety and changing daily operations for the better. |

IoT Solutions Give Commercial Fishing Real-time insights
Technology to support vessels in the commercial fishing industry had not changed significantly since the advent of radar. Over the past 40 years commercial fishing in the United States has continued to be one of the most active, yet regulated industries. The combination of federal regulations and lack of technology created an opportunity for Faria Watchdog to go-to-market with a solution. |

Highway Signs IoT Solution
We all are familiar with electronic road signs both those fixed to overpasses and those portable devices on the highway or even secondary back roads. For far too long it was costly and difficult to update the messages on these signs as it required an approved individual (Police, Department of Transportation, etc.) to update these signs. This is especially critical during safety events such as an Amber Alert - a better solution was needed. |
