Company Description
Rethink Robotics is a new kind of robotics company, and their mission is to create a new kind of manufacturing robot. One that introduces robotics into processes that manufacturers have never been able to cost-effectively automate. One that uses common sense to perform a wide range of tasks and vastly improve productivity. And one that safely works side by side with its human counterparts, who are able to train it with no programming or engineering expertise. Year founded: 2008
Veo Robotics is transforming manufacturing with products that incorporate advanced computer vision, 3D sensing, and AI. Their first product lets high-performance industrial robots work collaboratively with people to enable much more flexible, productive, and efficient manufacturing workcells.
Smooth Robotics solution the operator teach the robot which path to follow and were and how to weld - just by using our joystick solution mounted on the robot.
When expert industrial software meets robotic devices you get some amazing results. Experience stemming from a wide variety of robot and automation applications crystalized into a collection of high power products that are easy to use for any automated motion system Awesome software surrounding well integrated electrical and mechanical solutions birthed the Ultra Lean Robotic Solutions family of products. It is from this framework that we have truly made the robot an out of the box, highly configurable, and capable tool.
READY Robotics enables manufacturers to more easily deploy robots to the factory floor through a patented technology platform that combines a very easy to use programming interface and plug'n'play hardware. The company encourages manufacturers to be more competitive through the line of intuitive-to-use, easy to control industrial robotic software called Forge, which is a suite of products that requires minimum installation effort, no robotic or programming experience necessary.

Headquarter in Pasadena, California. Astro is fundamentally changing how business will operate. Providing a seamless, efficient, cost effective approach to incorporate mobile robots into any warehouse environments.

IoT Solutions
The company wants to change that reality with its smart collaborative robots like Baxter and Sawyer that can easily work with humans and adapt to real-world variability and imperfections. A collaborative robot, as Rethink's engineers define it, is intended to work interactively in a people-compatible way. Unlike traditional robots, Baxter learns by training, not by programming.
FREEMOVE? Veo FreeMove can be used with standard industrial robots from major manufacturers, which can have payloads of hundreds of kilograms and move at many meters per second. In order to make these types of robots robots truly collaborative, safety has been Veo’s paramount focus since its founding. The Veo FreeMove system is compliant with ISO 13849 (Safety of machinery―Safety-related parts of control systems), meets the requirements of PL=d, structure category 3, and consists of: FreeMove Sensors?: custom, 3D time-of-flight sensors that are mounted on the workcell periphery to cover the volume of the safeguarded space. FreeMove Engine?: a high-performance, dual-channel architecture computing platform that runs fail-safe software that processes image data from the sensors and implements Speed & Separation Monitoring (per ISO 15066). FreeMove Studio?: a software suite for self-service configuration and real-time visualization of the sensors and FreeMove Engine? data.
Action Based Robo-Apps For a robot application, every action is the merging of the robot’s tool, the process zone it is interacting with, and the motion involved. We teach systems from that perspective: Action = Hand+Process+Movement. Our “Robo-Apps” allow you to build these actions up with simple steps to bring your machine to life. Once a few “Actions” are established you are ready to run. The system knows parts flow from the in-feed, through the process and on to the out-feed so your entire sequence looks like “Get part at Conveyor” “Swap Parts at Machine Tool” “Put Part in Box”. Yes, that really is it.
