The Wireless Research Center of North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit wireless research hub offering a safe and trusted environment for invention and development of wireless technologies.

We offer:

- A unique combination of specialized testing facilities, engineering expertise, business incubation and development guidance, and intellectual property guidance for commercial, government and academic audiences.

- A hub facilitating wireless job creation, retention and expansion in the communications, medical and government fields.

- Supporting industry and university research initiatives.

In addition, as an independent research organization, we engage in a diverse set of corporate, academic, and regulatory research projects.

The Center provides pre-compliance testing and guidance for regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, etc.) and industry standards (CTIA, IEC, and IEEE), and also provides business development support through incubation, commercialization, and strategic partnering.

Portable test capabilities that facilitate the implementation of regional wireless networks (rural broadband expansion, air-to-ground systems, emergency networks, tele-medicine and smart-grid technologies).
