The Auto-ID Labs are a network of seven academic research labs of world leading universities – Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), University of Cambridge (UK), University of St. Gallen / ETH Zürich (Switzerland), Fudan University (China), KAIST (Korea), Adelaide University (Australia), and Keio University (Japan). The Labs research and develop new technologies for revolutionizing global commerce and providing previously unrealizable consumer benefits. The Labs are run by the Auto-ID Labs Board of Directors and currently employ seven research directors, nine associate directors, and more than 60 researchers on four continents. The GS1/EPCglobal Board of Governors serves as primary advisor.
