Due to the efforts of WIN 911’s strategic partner Micromedia, Lilly was able to adopt an alarm notification infrastructure that integrated smoothly with their existing workflows and emergency hardware and protocols.

Refrigeration towers, boilers and wastewater are monitored by ALERT. Eli Lilly identified 15000 potential variables, but
limitations compelled them to chisel the variable list down to 300. This allowed all major alarms to be covered including pressure, discharge, quantity of waste water discharged,temperature, carbon dioxide content, oxygen & sulphur content, and the water’s pH.
The Spacecraft Propulsion Research Facility conducts tests within the vacuum chamber after the necessary electrical power, fuel, oxidizer, and purge gas connections are made. To recreate the conditions of outer space while still on earth, the test facilities rely on vacuum pumps and cryogenic systems which can simulate deep space temperatures down to -423°F. Protecting the scientists and engineers is critical to moving space missions forward safely.
WIN-911’s partner product ALERT is a key element in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system “FabView” from Air Liquide. Air Liquide is the second largest supplier of industrial gasses in the world. This SCADA alarm notification system is specifically designed to monitor, among other things, the distribution of gas in a semiconductor manufacturing plant located in Dresden Germany. Like most operations of its type, this facility can’t afford much downtime in its distribution facility.
If ALERT detects a leak in a pipeline, the system evaluates how severe the leak is and transfers the data back to the central site or home office. Once the information is back in the main office, the SCADA alert system then transcribes the data into understandable messages to which employees can respond

Direct communication between departments, plant floor operations, and management is an ongoing challenge due to lack of real-time collaboration around actual data to help improve process flow and on-time order delivery.
Since the dawn of computing, we have been collecting exponentially growing amounts of data, constantly asking more from our data storage, processing, and analysis technology. In the past decade, this caused software developers to cast aside SQL as a relic that couldn’t scale with these growing data volumes, leading to the rise of NoSQL: MapReduce and Bigtable, Cassandra, MongoDB, and more.

Programmable Logic Controllers are used in conjunction with the SCADA and historian software to control and log all events of the test firing from the start of the water deluge system until the completion of the engine test firing and facility shutdown. SCADA alarm notification
New European regulations are putting more requirements on organisations to keep their customers’ data safe. The basis of the requirement is that the customer owns their data and an organisation “borrowing” that data has a duty of care over the information and needs to use “state of the art” security to keep customer data from fallings into unauthorised hands. Any lapses in that duty can result in large fines (up to €20m or 4% of turnover, whichever is higher).

Shot detection algorithms try to find the positions in the video, where one scene is replaced by another one with different visual content. Conventional approaches for shot detection usually involve the two steps of measuring the similarity of consecutive frames and then determining the shots’ boundaries. Two simple methods for measuring the similarity of frames are sum of absolute values of pixel-wise difference of frames and the difference between the histograms of frames. Through leveraging shot detection, Google is able to, in most cases with a 98% degree of certainty, categorize what is in the frame.
To demonstrate our solutions’ features, IoT Systems created a serverless infrastructure and dashboard to remotely monitor vacuum pumps on-site at semiconductor customer and deliver that valuable data and alerts to equipment owners. Our SenseQ gateway and SenseQ cloud infrastructure were integrated with InControl’s Smart Sensors to securely and reliably transfer data from behind an enterprise firewall to the cloud via Amazon Web Services (see Figure 1). Additionally, SenseQ provides quick, secure device provisioning, and scales easily for new equipment. The solution also includes dynamic thresholds for sensor and alarm types, defined by the SenseQ Engine, to differentiate routine warnings from critical failures. Finally, to meet changing customer needs, we built a configurable dashboard template with visualized equipment data. Equipment owners and operators can use the dashboard from their smartphone, tablet, or PC and receive alarms via in-dashboard notifications, email, or SMS.
