The Challenge
More organizations are moving to a cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructure, including small and medium enterprises. Pantheon, an independent software vendor (ISV) in the Netherlands, has seen a significant increase in demand for cloud solutions since 2015. This growth requires investments in new servers and accompanying software.
The Customer
About The Customer
Pantheon is an ISV based in the Netherlands that provides custom ICT solutions, particularly in enterprise resource planning (ERP), human resource management (HRM), and customer relationship management (CRM) software for wholesale and manufacturing companies. They offer these solutions as cloud services at market-competitive prices. Pantheon serves approximately 500 customers throughout the country and has been an IBM Business Partner for 45 years.
The Solution
To meet the growing demand for hosting and cloud solutions, Pantheon decided to use two new servers: one for developing customer applications and one production server for hosting cloud services. They chose IBM Power Systems S922 servers for their reliability, computing power, capacity, and scalability. Pantheon financed the servers through IBM Global Financing, allowing them to pay a fixed amount every month and free up working capital for innovation and application development.
Quantitative Benefit
  • The quantitative benefits of Pantheon's solution are not mentioned in the case study.
