The company works with renowned lift industry leaders such as Kone and Otis, specializing in areas such as lift CCTV and security systems, lighting and electrical equipment, fire regulation compliance, shaft steelwork, entrance-ways and flooring, and lift removal. EES UK operates a sheet metal workshop and steel fabrication workshop in Northampton. The company is a member of the global Lifting Equipment Engineers Association and is Safecontractor approved.
The Challenge
Elevator Engineering Services (EES UK), a leading engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in supporting the lift and elevator industry across the UK, faced a significant challenge in managing its mobile workforce. With a team spread across the Midlands, London, and South of England, fleet managers and the HR team rarely interacted with the drivers in person. This lack of face-to-face interaction made it difficult to monitor the welfare of the drivers and ensure the accuracy of payroll, hours, and timesheets. Additionally, EES UK wanted to improve driver behavior to create a safer working environment for its staff and other road users. The company needed a comprehensive solution that could provide accurate timesheets, monitor driver behavior, and ensure the welfare of its mobile workforce.
The Solution
To address these challenges, EES UK turned to Masternaut, a leading provider of fleet management solutions. Masternaut offered its Masternaut Connect telematics system, which provides a complete solution for vehicle tracking, driver monitoring, and payroll information. The system provides EES UK with complete accuracy on timesheets, payroll, and overtime, and cannot be cheated, even if the driver idles for a certain amount of time. This ensures precise timesheets and accurate payment of overtime. The vans used by EES UK are limited to 70mph, but Masternaut Connect still provides detailed driver monitoring data, alerting fleet managers to any incidents of speeding in lower speed areas, harsh braking, acceleration, or cornering.
