About The Customer
Icertis is a global leader in contract lifecycle management (CLM) with operations in more than 90 countries and headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. The company has transformed the way organizations manage contracts by turning static documents into dynamic, business-focused content using its AI-powered Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) platform. Icertis serves global brands such as Microsoft, Google, Best Buy, and Johnson & Johnson, managing over 10 million agreements worth more than US$1 trillion in 40+ languages. With a workforce of over 1,700 employees, Icertis has grown rapidly, achieving a market capitalization of US$2.8 billion.
The Challenge
Icertis faced the challenge of managing rapid growth and the proliferation of administrative rights across the company. Almost every user had some degree of elevated access credential, which posed a significant security risk. Additionally, there was skepticism within the business about the performance impact of security products due to past poor experiences. Sood, the general manager of IT infrastructure, needed to find a solution that could support the company's business needs, systems, and operational environment while addressing these challenges.
The Solution
Icertis chose CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager to address the proliferation of administrative rights and enhance security without compromising productivity. The solution was selected based on its ease of use, ability to create and manage policies, and strong market reputation. Sood gained buy-in from senior management to ensure smooth deployment across the global enterprise. The initial phase deployed CyberArk to 1,000 seats in 45 days, followed by a second phase adding 2,000 endpoint licenses. The solution allowed Icertis to grant specific levels of privilege to developers without opening up universal access, thereby balancing security and productivity.
